First of all, they have one similarity. They are both hand-held game controllers.

Gamepads are most of the time used for sports or racing games. Modern gamepads may also feature one or two analog sticks (joysticks).

Joysticks are better used in aircrafts games along with their programmable buttons.

Logitech Attack 3 Joystick

P.S.: If you want either of the above game controllers, they are available at very good prices at TORNADOWARE.

Yeah and it was fun too. The only regret I had with that joystick is that it wasn't equipped with a force feedback option but that was 10 years ago.

Not anymore but looking at those 2 controllers above, I'm thinking of buying both as it would surely add to the experience. cyclops

That said, I'm not a huge fan of the force feedback option but this time around, I might go for it. However, all will depend on their costs.

The exact term for force feedback is haptic technology. It's a tactile feedback technology which sends vibrations or forces to the game controller to enhance the gaming experience.

Think of yourself crashing a car against a tree at some speed. The vibrations/shocks which you would receive following the impact are very similar to those mechanical simulations which you would feel on your hand while holding the game controller had you crashed your car against a tree in your video game.
