User Hierarchical Ranking System

With almost 4000 messages posted in the forum till now and with some people contributing with more than 500 posts, I have decided to implement a user hierarchical ranking system which will be as follows:

Board Veteran	1000

Users attaining the rank of Board Veteran may be awarded the moderator privilege depending on their contribution, which will be assessed by the board management team based on the following criteria:

• Type of language.
  
• Relevance of messages and topics.
  
• Degree of criticism when debating.
  
• Involvement in bringing creativity and innovation.
  
• Level of attention to details.
  

I hope everybody approves this user hierarchical ranking system and I would love to hear about your views concerning this implementation.

This kind of ranking, I think, will be a sort of encouragement to some, a discouragement to others or, simply, some users may prove to be indifferent to this implementation. As for myself, I duly accept this categorisation and I look forward to the outlooks of the other members regarding this system in the forum.

I was wondering since a long time about the use of the hierarchical ranks of all the forum users. What I mean is that it shall nice if as the rank of member of the forum is upgraded, he/she may get some authority on running of the forum. Else what would be the use of having board veterans and all..?

Well that topic was simply about implementing this system of hierarchy. What i'm saying is about enriching the rights of a user as passes the various stages of the hierarchy.

It's just a suggestion, so I suppose it preferable to do it here only.

Now, we have three users Jeet, Kavi and Prithvi who have already been ranked as Board Veterans since quite a few time ago. But none of them has been nominated as Moderator so far. Well, i think this forum has got many users under its wings now. What about giving the people the right to vote who they want to be Moderators? Dear Administrators, i'm just making a suggestion. I think the users should the power to select and vote for Moderators. Its like according us, the users, some legal right over this forum too. Anyways i'm just suggesting. I think the users will prolly agree with me. What you say people?
