Need For Speed - ProStreet

Post by visham on Thu 10 Apr 2008 - 8:54

Esthetically the best need for speed yet! Though i must admit gameplay ain't that great. Pimp up your rides, and post your screenies!

Whatever Kavi! Men are equal to women now. When cars or football, especially, is the subject of matter, men arrange some kind of informal meeting and give enthusiastic approval or plain denial. Therefore, it's rude to state that only girls or women

I finally installed the game and I'm loving it. The graphics are good with very realistic effects and I even like the gameplay. Moroever, it makes good use of my audio hardware too. If you'll listen to those sounds you'll simply say WOW!

Now, with options concerning the damage, electronic stability program, traction control and ABS, I'm sure this game is going to consume lots of my time, especially at night. Very Happy

Here is my very first snapshot of the game just after winning a race with a Volkswagen Golf GTI...

And yeah, another one after the car was totaled following some dangerous driving... Razz

Look at the topic title, dumbo! lol!

Anyway, here's another totaled car and this time it's the appealing Nissan 350Z...

Well, don't get me wrong, I'm not fond of getting my cars totaled but it's a nice way to cheat and restart the races. Razz

Do you think I would have all the courage and time to look for a long straight run, speed up to 200 KM/H and then crash somewhere if I had the option of hitting the Esc key on the keyboard for a restart? Rolling Eyes

What engine, Prithvi? You mean the rumbling sound of the Nissan 350Z?

By the way, I've already completed Battle Machine and earned a Nissan 350Z to move onto a showdown at Chicago Airfield sponsored by Super Promotion... Very Happy

Then, I have moved to the next showdown sponsored by React Team Sessions, sold the Nissan 350Z, bought a Chevrolet Chevelle SS and upgraded it to output 557 hp for more power and sheer rear-wheel drive sensation...

Now, what about the graphics quality of this power sliding Pontiac GTO? Realistic, isn't it? Wink

Your computer will need an upgrade first, buddy.

Anyway, I'm loving the gameplay and the difficulty level also is quite high when car damage is enabled, which in turn makes the game a lot more interesting. I made some good money by dominating all my race days up to now and then, I've sold the Chevrolet Cobalt SS and the Chevrolet Chevelle SS to buy these... Very Happy

Ford Shelby GT500 for drag races.

Porsche Cayman S for grip races.

Chevrolet Corvette C6 for speed races.

BMW M3 E46 for drift races.

I've now started a race day in Ebisu, sponsored by React Team Sessions, but it is looking like a big mountain to climb. Shocked

To handle these monster cars you need to have monster driving and handling skills too. Else, this is what usually happens when taking them beyond 300 KM/H...

I'm sorry, baby. It won't happen again. Rest assured, I'll go to bed earlier as from now. Embarassed

By the way, I've broken the track record for the 1/4 mile drag race with my Ford Shelby GT500 boosted at 683 hp... Very Happy

Shut up, Prithvi! Twisted Evil

I earnt some good money, unlocked all the cars, replaced my Chevrolet Corvette C6 and BMW M3 E46 with new cars and upgraded all my cars with level 3 parts...

Winning the races in Need For Speed - Prostreet is not that easy as you can see in my personal record...

However, I have managed to cover 40% of my career so far...

And, challenged Ryo Watanabe... Very Happy

After defeating Ryo Watanabe...

I replaced him as the new Showdown King... Very Happy

And, acquired his Mitsubishi Evolution X pre-tuned for grip races...

Of course, I will eventually sell this car to bolster my bank account as mine are far better. Razz

However, this was not an easy business. Ryo Watanabe was proving a hard nut to crack and I had to sell my Porsche Cayman S, take my Porsche 911 Turbo and tune it for grip races as its four-wheel drive implementation was a definite advantage.

To replace the Porsche 911 Turbo for speed races, I chose its elder sister, the Porsche 911 GT2.
